I didn't hate this scene, but it did nigh infuriate me. (P222-223), Maggie is trying to break the cycle and for her part stop making things up to manipulate the people around her, and she just can't stop!! Agh! Stop LYING, lady!!! Leave it all alone!!!
I decided on page 265 that Maggie is a nut. Where she gets herself surrounded by strangers while waiting for Leroy to be born. And then in the following scenes where she manipulates more and more. I nearly wanted to slap her to get her to shutup.
I didn't like the abortion clinic scene.
